The exemption deadline for Measure A for the 2023-2024 Tax Roll was June 30, 2023.
The exemption deadline for Measure A for the 2024-2025 Tax Roll was June 28, 2024.
The exemption deadline for Measure A for the 2025-2026 Tax Roll is June 30, 2025.
You will need to submit your exemption application by Monday, June 30, 2025 to obtain an exemption for 2025-2026. Current exemptions in place for Measure A DO NOT NEED TO BE RENEWED.

Please refer to your San Mateo County Secured tax Bill. If you DO NOT SEE Millbrae ESD Measure N with a charge of $125.00, then you currently have an exemption in place and no further action is needed from you at this time.To qualify for an exemption from the Measure A Parcel Tax during any tax year (July 1 - June 30):
- You must be the owner of the parcel and you must occupy the parcel as your principal residence
In addition, you must qualify for one of the following 3 categories:
- You have attained age 65 prior to July 1 of the tax year (by June 30, 2025 for the 2025-2026 tax roll) OR
- You are receiving Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits for a disability, regardless of age, OR
- You are receiving Social Security Disability Income (SSDI) benefits (regardless of age, your yearly income does not exceed 250% of the 2012 federal poverty guidelines issued by the United States Department of Health and Human Services)

REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION
- Provide valid ID for verification of age (Driver's License, ID, Birth Certificate, Passport, Medicare Card)
- Provide proof of residence (copy of current utility bill – PG&E, water, cable, Scavenger)
- Provide proof of ownership (copy of current property tax bill or tax bill with homeowner's exemption)
- If receiving SSI or SSDI, Benefits Verification Letter issued by the Social Security Administration. This letter can be obtained online at https://www.ssa.gov/
ALL REQUIRED DOCUMENTS MUST BE SUBMITTED WITH YOUR APPLICATION TO BE PROCESSED.
Submit application and supporting documents directly to the Millbrae Elementary School District by June 30, 2025 using one of the following methods:

YOU ONLY NEED TO APPLY ONCE FOR THE MEASURE A PARCEL TAX EXEMPTION.
Once your application is received and approved, you will receive the exemption for the entire term of the parcel tax so long as you remain eligible. However, if you are granted an exemption, from time-to-time, the District may ask you to verify your eligibility.
